Butterfly, Green Thumb Sunday


Tiger Swallowtail on Agastache blooms. The large leaves are Cassia (candlestick plant), host for yellow Sulphur caterpillars, of which I've only seen one. Marigolds are favored nectar plants only when there's nothing else, I've noticed.

  1. What a massive butterfly, looks great too ,i wouldn't mind one of those in my garden but i think they might find it a bit wet.

  2. Hi Nell, What a pretty butterfly. I have never seen it before - thats what's so good about GTS is that you get to see so many wonderful plants and animals that you wouldn't normally see in your own garden. Thanks for sharing.
