Bouquet on a Stick
A neighbor child ran home once after seeing another neighbor planting a tree rose, and shouted, "Mama! Mr. John bought a bouquet on a stick!"
When I was pruning Carefree Delight, the long canes reminded me of Mr. John's tree rose. I thought, 'I can make a bouquet on a stick!' Some rebar to help support, a little pruning at the bottom and my stick was done. The rest of the growth, which criss-crossed each other in every direction got a haircut. Carefree Delight is a vigorous grower, and a delight in bloom.
