Purple Rain

When the rains came for 2 days, everything purple came alive. Persian Shield (strobilanthes) is very happy after two wet days. These cuttings were slow getting started, but doing very well now.

Butterflies are happy with Porterweed (stachytarpheta) Blooms. They're all this color this year, except for one red that returned, not blooming yet.

In the little pot is Licorice Plant.

  5. I've seen Persian Shield. Do you consider this an annual where you live? (It would be, here.) Did you just root cuttings in water or did you use rooting hormone? Great way to increase your plant populations. :-)

  6. Are you also a fan of Prince's Purple Rain? That's the first thing I thought of when I read your post title. Your Persian Shield is incredible looking. Makes me want to run out and get some.
