Third Anniversary of my Blog

Before I had a blog, I had a web page, furnished by the server we had then. It still exists Here but I can't make changes or add to it. It was left on the server and I moved on.

June 7, 2007, Rubeckia in my first blogger post.

Fairy Piano, 2007

Reptile Tree 2007

Butterfly Diving into Orienpet Lily, June, 2008

In 2009, we got Buffy:

Black Magic Elephant Ears, Bengal Tiger Cannas; June, 2009

that first blog post featured almost the same flowers as those still growing
in my long rock bed. Pineapple Crush daylily, Lantana montevidensis,
Black eyed Susan persist.  Purple Heart and California poppy are later additions.

  1. I really like your tiny crystal piano and reptile tree. That's very creative. Buffy is terribly cute. You have a real dog and a toy tortoise while I have a real tortoise and porcelain dog. I wonder if they will get along fine if both are real ;)

  3. Happy 3rd Blogversary! I’m sometimes wondering how long I will keep my blog alive. Now it’s very interesting to me, but sooner or later you want to move on. I hope it will be at least as long as you have yours.

  5. NeilJean,
Happy anniversary! I always enjoy reading your blog even if I don't leave a comment.

We had something to celebrate on Saturday our 80th butterfly species in the garden a Zebra swallowtail finally showed up here and nearly flew into Meg's face.

  7. This post is a wonderful retrospect! Buffy was so cute (still is, of course). It is great to look back and see how our gardens developed. Happy Anniversary again.

  9. Congratulations on your third year of blogging. It seems we gardeners never tire of talking about their plants and gardens. There's always something new going on as the seasons change. I'll have to check and see when my anniversary is..can't even remember when I started. Keep blogging...

  11. Happy Anniversary! Here's to many more.
Wonderful photographs there, the fairy panio made me laugh out loud - too cute. Oh and what a goregeous pup Buffy made (sometimes I wish they stayed like that all fluffy and silly).

  12. Thank you all for the nice comments.
The reptile tree fell in the spring of 2009 when a hurricane in the Gulf sent strong winds our way. It was hollow, obviously.

Buffy has grown into an adolescent Golden look-alike and wavers between trying to kill the kitty who was so kind to her when she was a frightened puppy and giving him a kiss, which he returns.

  14. Happy blogaversary Nell Jean. I love Buffy's puppy photo, just too cute! I'll never forget earlier this spring when you posted her sitting amidst your newly purchased violas. Gardening with dogs is such fun...challenging sometimes, but fun!
