Crinum jagus, Bloom Day July 2014

Instead of posting numerous pics of all that you know are blooming in the Coastal South in July, I am devoting this Bloom Day to a single plant in bloom today.

Crinum jagus

The pink and rose colored crinums have already bloomed.

Crinum jagus has a wonderful vanilla scent.
A recent visitor said, "It smells like Cookies!

Happy Bloom Day. Join the blooms at May Dreams Gardens,

  1. What a wonderful plant. I have several crinums in my garden but I'm not familiar with that one. I think I need to seek it out. Thanks for sharing it.

  3. So pretty. I'd love to try growing them but, as I've read they need ample water, that'll have to wait until our current drought conditions pass (assuming that happens someday). Happy GBBD!

  6. Wow! I'm not familiar with this one, so thanks for sharing. A scent of vanilla? Oh my! That alone would be enough for me. The bloom is beautiful as well. Happy GBBD!
