The season starts with Camellia sasanqua, always in bloom by Thanksgiving, scattering white petals from the many buds through Christmas. After Christmas big Camellia Japonicas bloom through winter. Open flowers will freeze but tight buds are hardy to open when there's a warm day. Heat takes out the last to bloom in April.

The Sasanqua above was taken November 21, 2010. The following pics were taken in previous years:

These Camellia bushes, the size of a gazebo,
were transformed into trees in Spring of 2013.

When I complete the pruning this fall
and dig young sprouts around the trees,
I will upload new snapshots.
